Three Point Lights

For a good lighting a Three Point Lights setup for rendering include:

Key Light
– Main light on the surface

Fill Light
– Light the black area between the Key light and Back Light
– no specular
– approximatly half the intensity of the Key Light

Back Light
– create an hightlight to detach the surface from the background
– no specular, no shadow
– Exclusive (does not affect the floor)
